Need help with a dilemma Nextaholics!!
Have had my eye on the Dakota Furniture range for AGGGGGEEESSS, but have been living with parents, so have never had a need to buy it.
Today, I have had an offer accepted on my first flat (yay!), and also got the link about the preview items and the whole Dakota range is on there. This would be amazing, and would save me about £600 as it is all 50% but I am having til wait til Saturday, as am not a VIP.
My dilemma - do i order it all tomorrow full price, to make sure that i definitely get it, seeing as it will be discontinued after the sale, or do i hold out til Saturday to get the discount, but knowing that they might be sold out til then!?!??!!?!
Arrrggghhhhh! I dont know what to do! Help!
Does anyone have any experience in getting furniture through the sale? What is the liklihood of it still being available if i log in first thing on Saturday to get them?
I would be inclined to order it now, then reorder any bits that are in the sale on saturday and cancel/send back the non sale items. You might well find that if you order now you will be charged the sale price anyway as this happened to a friend of mine last year who had a similar dilemma.0 -
personally i wold wait.....not to be cruel......the flat might fall through.....then u have lots of furniture......my 1st flat offer fell through and waited nearly 6 months before moving again......not to rain on your parade though xxxx

TOTAL 2014 £1250
TOTAL 2015: £500 winning:2 tkts to theatre, Cap1 Footie, weeks holiday in lakes.0 -

In my experience I always have. Just keep the catalouge numbers and put them into quick shop every morning. Just because the range has gone in the sale does not necessarily mean it will be discountinued, just bear this in mind. Ask if someone has the new catalouge on this forum and they may be able to check if the range is still included or even better call NEXT customer services.
I would normally agree with this (seeing as I try on and return probably 75% of my order each sale) BUT with furniture?! Are people really likely to wait the longer delivery period, get delivery of a large item like a bed or chest of drawers and then return it? I guess they might get cancellations due to longer delivery times or people returning smaller items.
Its always worth checking but I wouldn't rely on it if you are desperate for the items.0 -
USELESS - This has been a very annoying experience and won't be repeated. I had a 06.30 slot, I couldn't put anything into my basket, tried phoning again no help.
Good luck everyonecatch220 -
Had a 7am slot- had to log out completely and log back on again and was then able to add to basket. Most stuff I wanted still available. Phew.0

Arghh....had to do a telephone order last night as my timeslot froze.
Do you get email confirmation on a telephone order????0 -
well I havnt had time to read the last 10 pages yet so I dont know if any one has already said this BUT if you log in to your account again now you can book another slot (only Friday left) incase there is anyting you forgot.....like I did with my H2Bs shoes for our wedding, bestmans wedding shoes and shirt whhhooppppssss well I think id spent enough at £1200 so logged out quickly :rotfl::rotfl:
I didnt realise you could sign in 15 mins early, i dont remember reading this on here you cheeky monkeys, thats prob why I didnt get my TV I was after, I ended up getting the Nexts own brand 32 incher, I dont know if its any good or who actually makes them but we need a TV and thats all that was left so it was that or nothing, prob will only last 12 months but ho hum :rotfl:
I got everything I wanted baring about 2 kids tshirts which were sold out, oh and the panasonic TV I wanted showing instock, add it to basket out of stock, go back and its still there allowing you to add grrrrr.
There is NO WAY Im showing my parter the bill, although to be fair most of my stuff is in 2 sizes as im inbetween sizes at min so will be sending one back.
Oh and Nike Air rifts still in shock, all of them in all sizes, Im shocked as usually they sell out as quick as the kids stuff. Day 2 and the kids stuff has only had 20 pages knocked off so I think the credit crunch has hit alot of people!0 -

I have the Dakota Range, and it is lovely
I ordeded the cube set in the sales as I have had my eye on it. Fwiw the Dakota range is in the new catalogue but the prices have been put up. We oreded a sideboard a couple of months ago that was £399 and its now £425 in the new catalogue.0 -
I had a 10.30pm slot last night but had no luck accessing the sale - the screen said shop now but I couldn't add anything to my basket. Tried to call but no luck there either. Eventually I added my order via quickshop but then realised that this has all been ordered at full price. I rang CS this morning (another 30 min wait) and they said once the stuff has been delivered they should amend the prices - I have found them to be so unhelpful that I am sure whether that is going to happen or not. Has anyone else ordered at full price before during the sale and did they actually amend the prices once delivered?0
