I've not checked yet, but do they have sales as some of their LCD tvs are still expensiveYou'll Never Be Rich Working for Someone Else0

How do you apply for membership? I was told you have to be in a profession. I ask because a lady offered my brother one when he was a student (she must have been on comission or something).0

Used to be a member myself as wife works for local council,if you know someone in that position(care worker etc) they may get you membership or just shop with them and let them pay at tills.
The only good thing about Costco is you can exchange electrical goods for brand new ones provided bought at store with receipts. My friend does this , says they are faulty and picks up a newer model with no checks made.At this rate he will never have to buy a new tv etc.again.He saw this happen in store and tried it himself .Dunno if it company policy or just at his local store.Sounds too good to be true dunnit; won't hurt to try.0 -
Costco is good for bulk buying but check the costs first.
The fish and meat are excellent quality you can buy cheaper elsewhere but the quality IMHO is vey good. We will be off tomorrow or monday so if we spot any "Sales bargains" will let you know.
Incidently I bought some xmas choccy presents (lindt treasure chest) from costco ( not cheap) but the present was for a fussy person and it received a favourable response. So the moral is you can buy cheaper but they do some things that you might not see elsewhere.
Membership is a tenner for additional card users (Our company has an account) Sorry dont know what the initial cost to join is but they ask for a company letterhead. The best work is the cheapest as the quality remains long after the price is forgotten0 -
Before Christmas Sainsburys had a special offer of 2 cases of lager for £20.00. I bought some. The same cases at Costco would have been 6p cheaper.
I usually buy things like Brita water filters, batteries, washing powder, toothpaste, contact lens solutions, soap and razor blades.
There is only a limited selection of anything at Costco, they do not carry multiple lines, but I have been shopping there regularly since 1997.0
