This happened to us 2-3 years ago. After no money for 3 weeks the man I spoke to told me I could go to my local tax office and get a giro for any money due to me if I wanted to. He was willing to put it on the computer and a giro would have been waiting for me. Seeing as it is like going into beirut at my office I decided to wait. You could try asking if you can do this. I got all my money backdated after 5 weeks.

This hasnt been suggested to me at all, I really do not know what to do. In 2 weeks I am due my WTC which has been suspended and if this carries on I could be around £400-£500 out of pocket this month! They say they can appreciate the position you are in but its bo***** they have no idea!

I have just telephoned the Parlimentary Ombudsman and stated my complaint. I still have to go through the proper channels but she is going to give them a call and find out what is going on!

Well I have rang the tax credits and they have advised me that the suspension has been lifted but there is no update as to payments. It turns out that two payments went to me on the 2nd June, I received one and the other bounced back, this he thinks has prompted the suspension.

The annoying thing is, is that I notified them of a change of bank details in Jan this year and they now have them on the system 6 months later! It turns out that this could have caused the issue!!!

WHY was I not told this the other 6 times I had phoned - its not rocket science is it!!!!
