    ok thats good so far

you need application in that list

then look for either chkdsk if you did the check without rebooting

or winlogon if you did it at bootup

ok that might be because i did read only

    ok

    1. In My Computer or Windows Explorer, right-click the volume you want to
    check, and then click Properties.
    2. On the Tools tab, click Check Now.
    3. Do one of the following:

o To run Chkdsk by using the /f parameter, select the Automatically fix file
system errors check box, and then click Start.
[[Specifies whether Windows repairs file-system errors found during disk
checking. All files must be closed for this program to run. If the drive is
currently in use, a message asks if you want to reschedule
the disk checking for the next time you restart your computer. Your drive is
not available to run other tasks while the disk is being checked.]]

try that, its a different wat of running chkdsk so dont worry but this time itll fix errors if there are and and hopefully it will produce a log

i thought that read only would too but obviously not:p

either that or your system has no errors

but do the above to make sure

  • I tryed that and then restarted my computer and it didn't actually do anything. It just booted as usual

    Does that mean everythings ok?

ok going back to the first time you ran it

do exactly the same by opening the command prompt

but type this instead "chkdsk volume:/f"

(in the black screened command prompt)

    and run it

after that i cant really think as to why it wont run:confused:
