I dont know how ud get on with the halifa, I've just done a balance transfer from my card, credit linit £1,700, so transferred that to dads credit card he was paying 22%apr.
I got life of balance deal 5.94%, was offered 6 months 0apr %.
My credit rateing is not brilliant, but for some reason I wont argue with a deal like that xxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
Cheers for the advice, will use the £3k Abbey one but it is not enough to clear the Halifax one, would be quite happy if they offered a life of balance at 5.94%, was that after you cleared the balance ?,
that is the main problem, dont have the funds to clear the full balance as although I am not maxed out on the other cards as I have been paying them off I cant balance transfer anything as it will not be at 0% so wont help much, will need to see what rate the Halifax put me on in mid August when the 0% runs out0 -
actual credit used is approx £25k on an annual salary of over £45k and there is actual credit on offer on the cards of £60k but not sure if these numbers are good or bad really in relation to getting cards.
Never had any problems except MNBA who have refused me twice and now this call from Virgin so maybe its just them that does not like me

I've just taken a 10k loan out and cleared all my debts off inc the halifax card, got the loan automatically approved with halifax, had a letter offering me upto 11.5k, without a credit check,
bear in mind had 1,250 od, which was full to the brim, my halifax card was full, and I got the loan at 9.9%,
I know it wouldnt cover all ur debts but may be worth a try xxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0
