yes, that's me! i guess it all comes down to gut instinct. remembering how life felt under the last tory government for me personally and the causes and people i cared about. i know life isn't perfect now but i really do believe we are in a better position now than we would have been if the conservatives had been in power. i'd still rather have gordon brown than david cameron any day. i don't agree with everthing labour has done (war in iraq, bailing out the banks in the way they did in particular). i wouldn't mind the lib dems coming in - they seem to have some good policies. and the greens would be great (but not going to happen, let's face it). but i really really feel sick to the stomach of the thought of four years of tory rule...

Ninky, you have made a lot of valid points, which I agree with, but why stick with voting Labour? Why not vote for the Liberal Democrats, if you agree with a lot of their policies. I cannot accept people voting for the two main parties (is Labour still a main party?), and going against their instincts. Vince Cable is one of the big hitters in politics, and the Lib Dems have been hit the least by the expenses scandal. I cannot ever see myself voting Labour again after the Iraq war, and I certainly don't want to see "Chameleon Dave Cameron" in power, because he is just another "Teflon" politician, a poor copy of Tony Blair.
Under a Conservative government, there will be little or no improvement for 90% of the country, no hope for the jobless, no help for the pensioners, and house owners should remember the dark days of the eighties and nineties, when interest rates went through the roof.

i won't necessarily and have also voted green in the past. i've also mentioned in another thread that i'm considering the lib dems this time round. but it also depends on the specific candidates as i think it's important to have a good local mp. and david lammy in our area is pretty good (labour).

I know, we have an excellent Labour MP (Bob Marshall Andrews) who is a bit of a rebel. The problem is, at the end of the day if you vote your local MP in, then you are voting in the Government, and with the mess they have made of things, I think New Labour should be kicked into touch. I watched BBC Question Time last night, and I think that Chris Huhne was the best pannelist by far.

Will you two stop de-railing my serious topic please.

here here, ive got my own personal view/ vested interest but i enjoy reading posts from either viewpoint by interesting posters such as ad9898 and mitchaa, but im fed up of so many threads decending into chilish bickering between internet warriors, Stevie J and g.devon being the most notable. Even if you 2 have well thought out opinions, no-one cares or listens because we all know you're just a pair of 12 year old playground loudmouths who know everything about nothing. My dads bigger than yours, etc etc:mad:
  • i'd bet my house on the recession not being over.
