thanks hun, will give it a try but according to what we have read on google it seems Samsung just wont pay up and its happened to lots of people, some as early as just after the 12 month warranty has ran out and they still havent had any joy.

It's not down to samsung though - your 'contract' under the Sale of Goods Act is with Currys - they always try & fob you off with sending you to the manufacturer, but you just have to refuse - legally it's up to them to compensate you, not Samsung

omg so yours was a samsung too then cheeky! not the same model number as ours though lol but how wierd it being the same make and from the same retailler !!!

Thanks for that letter hun, will contact currys tommorrow then and get them to tell me what engineer I should use to get this report done xxx

Be prepared to be firm - the little scrotes in the call centre are trained to repeat 'contact the manufacturer' like robots, but like I said, just refuse & they'll eventually put you through to a human
