I know this wont be much comfort to you but to those without their Dad's today, mine's been gone 23 years now, it was so hard those first few years but over time I developed a set of blinkers to it and don't notice it so much. I really feel for you all today

mine's been gone 10 yrs now, still miss him dreadfully he was only 69 when he went, had cancer, what makes it harder is that he bought us up after my mum had left us all so he was very special both a mum & dad together xx

Sweetiepie, know this may sound stupid but i had amazingly bad toothache the other week and it was because my sinuses were blocked. Try some steaming, a cup of boiling water with some olbus oil or eucalyptus helped my toothache ease and it was gone completely in 24 hrs.

My Dad is over 100 miles away so I won't be seeing him today
Congrats to all those giving up/ given up smoking, I have been smoke free 5 years now, best thing I ever did I stopped when I got pregnant, so didn't use anything but will power. I work in a pharmacy, and I'm a bit shocked at the amount of people still using the gum for years after they've given up. It's just swapping one addiction for another.

Hugs to everyone who is without their dad today. Mine died when I was just 9 years old, and Father's Day and Birthdays are always tinged with sadness for me. x

On a lighter note - I had a random thought. What ever happened to the Brantub.net comp? I thought they were going to give away goodies on a regular basis. Haven't heard of anyone winning with them for aaages. (And I never did anyway).

Mark isn't managing too well today. He misses Caitlin all the time but today is one of the one's that makes him really sad. He did get a card from heaven this morning which made him smile and cry at the same time ( Liam made it with a picture of an angel on it )
