Do you know you can get edible candles?

Just wondering as now there will be no armageddon and we are out of recession and house prices are rising again, I thought I would get tucking into these 80 tins of Asda beans. What you think?

Don't mention tuna, spaghetti rings/bolognese and ravioli please, I feel sick thinking about it all.

    Only 80?

I've still got 3,000 tins of spam I saved in the run-up to Y2K.

Why isn't this sh1te moved into the Moneysavers? It really is amazing just how low the level is that Martin and MSE are aiming at. Remember the mass market Martin, the people who buy the crap that you try to punt on here.

Sky telly or no telly - which saves you money? duh.
Take away or no take away - which saves you money Martin?

edit: I just noticed 'comping for cash'. Ho ho - give your email for a lifetime of unsolicited advertising in exchange for a chance of a fiver.

save money - turn off a lightbulb. There I've done my bit for tonight.

I'm fairly sure they recommend using a free throw away e-mail, however, frankly comping is not worth the bother.

    spot on. along similar lines............

Some other poster on here the other night tried to tell me that if companies listed on the stock exchange went bust that we would starve.

I doubt we would all starve but could be a bit slimming for a while as things re-adjust and share out.
Most likely outcome could be that the wealth they hoard for themselves gets shared around a bit more.

No, I am not a Commie but in tune with my inner Mini Commie.

Why are beans so expensive compared to a couple of years ago when you could buy value beans for less than 10P ?

Are they no longer considered a loss leader ?

I'm pretty sure tesco's value baked beans is 9p a can, and made by the same factory as Heinz. But I haven't bought value for a while.
