Abbey Property / Shares ISA

apols if this has already been discussed...

I see that Abbey have launched a 5 / 10 year ISA, 50% of which is linked to the FTSE 100, the other 50% linked to the Halifax Price Index.

Now I'm very bearish when it comes to property, but can well imagine the Index rising by above 5%pa over the next five years (people remain insanely devoted to housing, for some reason).

Just wondered what others thought of this.

I had a look at it and was put off (probably by reading dunstonh saying many times not to use a bank's own products!). It also seemed quite inflexible. There are other property based investments which look better, to my admittedly inexperienced eyes anyway.

depends whta you think will happen to property prices and the FTSE - personally I can see house prices stagnating/falling, not sure about the FTSE, but it has been quite high recently due to merger mania etc.
Life is not a dress rehearsal.
