My son's cat has fleas and bought this

He is too scared to use it and is taking it back to the supermarket.
Can anyone recommend a good flea treatment?

Get something from your vet. I use Stronghold.
Definitely don't use the Bob Martin, it is ineffective at best and downright dangerous at worst.0 -
Frontline on the cat, Indorex on the carpets, pet bedding and soft furnishings.0

Don't bother with flea-stuff bought at supermarkets
Frontline is losing it's effectiveness
use Stronghold or Advantage or Advocate
Maybe we should lobby for the Bob Martin stuff & flea collars etc to be removed from sale - as it wastes people's money?!!0 -

Id sign that petition. I used it (thinking it was ok ) on my dogs when I first got them. They both got fleas. Now only use it from Vets, which at the moment is Advantage.I know my spelling is shocking  It is alot better than it used to be though :rotfl:0 -
Go for the Advantage, Frontline whatever it is your vet stocks. When you work in a vets people think you are lying when you tell them the supermarket/pet shop stuff is rubbish ie Bob Martins. They just think you are trying to sell the vet's more expensive alternative but it is much better and as another post said it is a waste of money at best and dangerous at worst, the cheap stuff. Animals have died from it I had been told when I worked at the local vets. Also for a cheaper price you could get it online at one of the pet medicine sites.Every day is a new life to a wise man.
Sufficient for the day are it's own worries.:cool:0 -
Another vote here for Frontline. My cat has never had flea's thanks to using this product regularly.
I buy mine online & save quite a bit of money compared to what the vet charges. The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.
I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.0 -
another frontline vote here too!.cant beat it for my dogs and it definitely is much cheaper online, especially viovet:D0
