    Does anyone have any info on the Western Approaches Museum (used to be Underground Headquarters). We've tried looking online but no prices just a general description.

    Thanks for all the lovely suggestions so far x

    Western Approaches is about £5-6 for adults.
    Its closed on Fridays and Sundays I think.

    The maritime museum is excellent (as is the trans-atlantic slavery section in the same building). World Museum Liverpool & The Walker Art Gallery are both worth visiting. All these museums are free.

    Liverpool city centre is fairly compact, you can walk to most places, but would need to get a bus to Anfield.

    Good pubs & bars

    The Philharmonic - Victoria.
    Alma de Cuba - in a renovated Church
    The Lion (Tithebarn street)
    Everyman (Hope street) - opens until 2am
    Panoramic (amazing views of Liverpool - worth booking, restaurant expensive but good)

    If you want to go to one of the better restaurants on a sat night, I would book.

    And for something completely different;

    Kenny's right, £5.50 for adults, not open Fri or Sun.
