o2 PAYG allowances

i have an o2 PAYG sim card and the deal is if u top up by £10 per month, u get 100 free "units" for use on calls, messages etc. I'm sure many of u will have heard of this.

however, i'm a bit unsure as to what this means. if u top up by the £10, then do u get the allowance in addition to the £10?

i.e. for the £10, u get 100 mins + £10 worth of calls.

or is the £10 the price of the allowance?

i know i havent worded this very well.... but i hope some of u will see what my question is....

Thanks

This has got to be best deal for low users. However since going on to it I have used my 100 units per month and usually a couple of quid of the tenner balance. But hey, so what!

I was previously on a low monthly contract which cost me loads more for less minutes.

And no, I don't want to go onto 3 for millions of minutes for almost no squids. O2 suits me fine!

And no, I don't work for them!

    thanks for the info...

yeah sounds like a great deal.

Rogerb: "yes you get the £10 to spend as well as the freebie allowance and as long as you top up at least once every 3 months whilst the calls / texts are chargeable after 1 month you can use up some of the credit to pay for calls / texts at normal rates until you top up again. This stops you potentially building up a big balance."

After a month on the freebies, say if the £10 lasted another month... it wud average to only £5 per month overall. great for light users...

I've £10/month = 50min & 50 txt, BUT... called them a couple of weeks back 'cos I want a new fone - V3i I fancy - to see if they'll do a deal to match all the cashback deals.

They haven't yet, but did offer to make it £7/month for lots more units - will be talking them tomorrow before I decide.

My 6 year old Samsung has done me proud!!
