Completing Next Friday

We are completing tomorrow! Its been 10 and 1/2 weeks since our offer was accepted (we exchanged almost 4 weeks ago). We are ftbs and the house was being sold with no chain as well, so that probably made things quicker. It feels like it has been ages though. Good luck to everyone else completing soon!0

We are due to complete tomorrow. The completion date was set and agreed by all weeks ago.
I paid the money to our solicitor last Friday so should have exchanged Monday. That came and went and it is now Thursday evening and still no exchange. Apparently the seller's solicitor still hasn't received the funds transfer document from the seller (who lives out of the area). The solicitor is being a bit crap and a bit cagey - our solicitor thinks it may not have even been sent yet.
My partner is homeless as of tomorrow. We have booked new furniture to be delivered to the new house on Saturday morning. I have had to fight tooth and nail to get Monday and Tuesday off work.
Am really frustrated and upset by it all.0 -
Wow thats a long time between offer accepted and moving in, I was hoping it would be much quicker for me. Oh well looks like I will have to pay another months rent :-(0

After an hour of very frantic worrying just then, we have just exchanged! Yaaaaay! Completion can go ahead tomorrow.
Blimey it's real now!0 -
That's great news wftb, I was just wondering what you were going to do with all that new furniture!
I hope all your moves go smoothly tomorrow and you are all very happy in your new homes!

I am so happy for you!
We have our offer accepted on Mar 14th and would like to move in asap too.
But we need to have a few things checked on the house (electrics, damp etc.) before the mortgage is finally approved.
Wish you all the best in your new home!0 -
We had our offer accepted end November and are still waiting to exchange! No problem connected to the houses, just some woman sorting out unrelated legal problems before she'll agree to exchange.
