I'm sure that whoever decides to help you will want to know more about your Camcorder and whether you have a Firewire connection and a full version of Nero 8.0

Thanks Donnie - your back!!! You helped me to upgrade the memory in my pc last year (plus Shadowdragon & the rest).
Right - I don't know if it's the full version of not (thicko) but it has many options
Nero - Burning Rom:j I hope my comment helps :T0 -
You'll need the full version containing Nero Vision Express 5 and a Firewire connection on your PC. Make and model of your Camcorder?0

Let me continue
Nero Burning Rom, Cover Designer, Express, Media Home, Photsnap, Showtime, Vision etc. etc. etc.:D
As I said - many options. It's a Panasonic camcorder and I'm using a firewire to connect to my pc.
So how do I 'grab' the movie off my camcorder & onto Nero? Of am I wasting my time (if it's not the full version)?
I need SIMPLE explanations, especially since I'm getting old........:rotfl::j I hope my comment helps :T0 -
Crossed post.
It looks like Nero Vision 5 is one off my options.:j I hope my comment helps :T0 -

How do I use the iLINK™ (IEEE1394) PC interface to transfer video and still images to my home PC?
To transfer video or still images to your home PC, the following items are required:
IEEE 1394 DV interface cable (4 to 6 pin version)
This cable enables you to physically connect your digital camcorder to your PC (Macintosh® or IBM-compatible).
IEEE 1394 host adapter card*
A host adapter card must be installed in your PC. This is the port which allows the DV interface cable to connect to your PC. Some of the newer PCs come equipped with IEEE 1394 host adapter cards already installed.
Video & still image editing software
Software allows you to transfer and edit the video and still images on your home PC.
Complete video and still imaging editing packages are available from a number of companies including: Canopus [1-888-868-2533] and Adaptec [1-800-442-7274].
* IEEE 1394 host adapter card required for both Macintosh® OS and Windows®. Must have Macintosh® OS (version 7.6.1 or later) or Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows Me, Windows 2000 or Windows NT (4.0 or later) to use adapter card.0 -

Ok, you just need to open Nero StartSmart and choose Create and Edit and then Author, Edit and Capture Video or else navigate to Nero Vision Express to begin capturing the video(once camcorder is connected to PC).0
