Are Orange tarriff charges legal?

OK, but just to be sure you understand that if you moved to the Tmobile tariff that you would still be with Orange, just on a non-Oranage tariff. Your reception wouldn't be affected, ie if you can get a signal at home on Orange now, then changing your tariff with Orange doesn't move you onto TMobiles network you know?
Anyway, I have another point to put to you re Orange tariffs. The current tariff you are on enables you to make freephone (0800) numbers for free! The other mobile networks don't do that; they charge you for dialling 0800 numbers. This means that you can register with 18866.com, and that will allow you to make calls from your mobile to a landline for half a pence a minut, plus a 1p connection charge per call. you can also call other mobiles using this method for 14p per min Mon-Fri and 4p per min Sat & Sun.
But understand that this will work only on Oranges own tariffs. Itis not applicable to the OVP tariffs.
How about that then?
Here is the link to 1886.com site. You can also use them for your home phone to make UK calls for 1p, untimed. So you can stay on the line as long as you like.

Well Steve you are a mind of very useful information :-*
I use the 18866 for my home phone but I did not know that I could use them on my mobile. I will set that up and thanx once again x0 -
OK, glad to be of help.
For mobile to mobile calls why not register with 1899.com. They charge 12p per min Mon thru Fri and 2p per min Sat & Sun. But the connection charge with them is 3p.
They are sister company to 18866.com.........0 -
My wife's most recent 12 month contract expired in Nov with Orange. She had a Nokia 3100.
She phoned and threatened to leave Orange and was offered an upgrade to an Ericsson K700,£30 credit on her next bill and the £15 a month tariff with 120 cross network mins and 30 texts.
Apparently people who spend at least £30 a month are much more likely to be offered decent deals on upgrades.0 -
Sorry payless do you mean that you downgraded and then did not use the simm? and then took out a new £15 contract with them? sorry I am confused. I am really annoyed with them over this. I do not think it should be allowed.
Yes, well I sometimes used the old sim, but not often.
This way I got a new after less than 6m ( sold old phone) and the monthly cost was about the same anyway as I was spending
( made all the better as the old contract was a nil cost deal via CPW)Any posts on here are for information and discussion purposes only and shouldn't be seen as (financial) advice.0 -
Yes that is the new deal, unfortunately I did my upgrade in August. I think the moral is do not upgrade until xmas as it seems this is when all the good deals come out! It is still wrong to expect customers to spend more per month and get less. I am still investigating it to see if it is legal though.0

May have been in better position to discuss before you "upgraded"- can't see any likely movement whilst still in contractAny posts on here are for information and discussion purposes only and shouldn't be seen as (financial) advice.0
