party games for 9yr old boys

When I went to pick up from a friend's son's party years ago, she was lurking in the garden with the baby looking extremely harassed, while the boys were having a great game of shipwreck which involved climbing around the room on the furniture so as not to touch the shark-infested carpet through to the kitchen via the serving hatch and along the kitchen worktops.
Before the H&S police jump in, I know its not funny really, but with hindsight, I still chuckle at the sight before me as I walked in!
Food fights and water bombs are also popular with boys I believe!:rotfl:0 -
Get a pack of post-it notes and write cartoon characters on them. Stick one on each child's head- this becomes their character- get each child to ask questions about their characters that makes them guess who they are (it should be questions like "am I a male character?", etc with the answers being just "yes" and "no". Keep going until everyone has guessed who they are! You could have prizes that go from large to smaller for the first ones to guess and onwards. Great game!
If that will be a little bit too hard for them then you could just stick to Ben10 characters and do the same thing to make the guessing easier and just get the other children to give them clues about who they are- rather than them having to worry about asking questions (ie. kids could just shout out random clues like "you are a boy", "you are yellow", etc..) !! Buy a cheap t-shirt fold it up nicely, wrap it up in wrapping paper and stick it in the freezer for a few hours. Give each child 30 secs to try to unwrap it. The first one who manages to put the t-shirt on wins.:j little fire cracker born 5th November 2012 :j0
