Its my sons birthday soon and he is having a ben10 themed party, I am looking for suitable games where children are not "out" (so no musical statues, as the out kids will get bored) - any suggestions would be great as I have only thought of 5 so far...

have you asked your son?
My eldest is in year 1, but would be mortified if I organised party games for him & his mates. The only thing that might go down well for him would be a wii party...but even then I'd probably get outvoted by all the other boys on what games to play...ho hum..mario cart it is again then
How about something like a ben 10 treasure hunt? I guess they might be a bit old to want to colour in, but perhaps they want to make their own ben 10 omnitrixes? Other than that, I'd guess they want to be left on their own to plot.0 -
my son is dyspraxic and has learning problems hence why its an organised party, really want a fun party and something that gets them out into the fresh air.Comp wins 2013:160 finish quantum tabs, 2xtickets private screening of prisoners(Jake n Hugh 2)

Not sure what dyspraxic is, so I maybe off the mark here but what about..
Mini olympics. My daughter went to a party like this and had a fab time. The family did have a big garden though. Had Different games where that each get prizes or certificates.
Or a mini football match were the children a spilt into a few teams and a bbq afterwards? Teams could be named after characters from ben10 (not sure sbout ben10- I have girls!!)I have learned that success is to be measured not so much by the position that one has reached in life as by the obstacles which he has had to overcome while trying to succeed. These are some of the games we play with scouts. The age is 8 - 10 so maybe some of these will be suitable.

Balloon races. 2 teams, both standing in lines behind one another. Balloon goes over first boys head, between second boys legs, over third boys head, etc. When it gets to the boy at the back he runs to the front and it repeats. Continue until the first boy is back at the front. The first team wins.

A couple of packets of those modelling balloons (and a balloon pump) keep them occupied for quite a while.0

All my kids at work loved the chocolate dice game! Not sure of the name but anyway, you sit in a circle, have in the middle a bar of chocolate wrapped up on plate, a knife and fork, a hat, some gloves and an adults coat or other similiar dressing up outfit but must be adult gloves! Then you send a dice round the circle and if someone rolls a six they must put on the outfit and try to open and eat some choc with the knife and fork. Meanwhile the dice is still going round the circle so someone else can get a 6.
Not sure how your son's dyspraxia presents, but the boy I used to be a one to one worker with was dyspraxic and he loved it, and wasn't disadvantaged at all. It's tricky for everyone, but so much fun!
Have a great party and Happy Birthday to your son.0 -
Ok I have a couple,
Needed Pack of straws and a pack of polos ok you see where this is going just make sure it's thinner straws so they fit the hole in the polo. Two teams pass the polo straw 2 straw.
Next
Needed Nutella/chocolate spread, cotton wool and baby wipes
two teams dod of nutella on each childs nose and one dod of cotton wool for the 1st person in each team. No hands allowed they must pass the cotton wool to the end of the line. baby wipes on stand by to clean noses, faces etc
These games depend on how many kids are coming, obviously if there is not a good amount for 2 teams you can't really play them.Everyone is entitled to their opinionEllie 25/12/070
