Anyone get scammed by Ryanair?

i booked a ryanair flight, traveling with 3 bags. the first 2 bags were reasonable, under 3 figure, but the 3rd bag costed 250 pounds. the staff was rude to me, and did not even feel bad about trying to charge 250 pounds for a bag. i cant believe how heartless ryanair staff can be. i ended up having to go home, costed me 50 pounds. the flight itself was only 20 pounds, but i had booked a hotel too, so that costed me another 70 pounds. plus, i ended up buying another ticket for 150 pounds. so i ended up losing a lot of money because i was lured in by the 20 pound ticket. i will never fly ryanair again.

    Assuming that you're talking about excess baggage charges, £250 would mean that you were about 17kg over the limit. That's more than double the baggage limit for one person, which is pretty extreme by anyone's standards.

    Why do you think you were scammed? Did Ryanair do anything that was against the Terms and Conditions that you accepted when you purchased the ticket?

    Why would anyone feel bad about doing their job properly? If they told you that it was going to cost 250 pounds for your third bag, then as long as it was in accordance with their terms and conditions, it's your problem. Ryanair is notoriously tough with baggage and always has been - and if you didn't read the conditions attached to your ticket, then you can blame no-one but yourself.

    Why are you blaming Ryanair when it's clearly your own fault? Why on earth were you taking 3 bags for a one day holiday, anyway?

    What do you mean by:
    the first 2 bags were reasonable, under 3 figure,
    Do you mean you were charged for the 2 bags but less than £100?
    Did you pay for ANY checked (i.e. that is put into the hold) luggage or did you just turn up at the airport with 3 (presumably very heavy) bags?
    How much did each of your bags weigh?
    Did you read Ryanair's T&Cs either before or after you'd booked your flight?
    Why did you buy another ticket for £150?
    :confused::confused::confused:
    I personally don't believe the title of your thread - I'm pretty sure that you weren't scammed, ripped off or conned.
    You just didn't play by Ryanair's rules - and that is usually an expensive mistake to make for the customer.

    Can I ask what you would have expected to pay and what did you base your expectations on? £250 is a lot of money, but 3 bags is rather a lot of luggage.
