I really dont care 'if you appreciate this or not' :)
I just re-read my comment. I meant what I said in that I do appreciate it when folk add to what I say. I DIDN'T mean that I don't want others to comment (if you know what I mean). I've edited my post and used a different word replacing "appreciate" with "realise".... amazing how one misplaced word has the potential to offend!!

what device(s) do you have between your PC and the internet - modem, router, etc?

And Steve Gibson is a master of misinformation. Some of his tools are OK for a quick scan of course.

You might want to discuss the pros and cons of stealth -vs- closed at some point........ he says, running away from the unopened can of worms ;)
In the United Kingdom 200,000 people are bitten by dogs every year and some people will die as a result. Of those bitten, 70% are children... So the question has to be asked....... Has the time come to ban children?

Just for info, I use a Dlink DSL-G604T wireless router which has a built-in firewall AND run CA Internet Suite on the PC.

Security is set up via 128 bit WEP encryption and MAC address access list.

The CA suite cost less than £30.00 and so far it has protected my system for the last 3 years without any problem.

    Also run:

    Spybot
    Adaware
    Spywareblaster
    MS Defender
    Naomi

If anybody has any further suggestions, let me know.

then the ports open are really on your PC....
do you have a webserver locally? Because it looks like ZA has these ports open (80 is for http, 443 is for https).

What happens if you click on this http://localhost ?
