  • hey :)
i bough my dress from Debenhams, £35 reduced from £90..one of the shoulder straps was loose, but it took 2 minutes and a needle and thread to fix it. Yesterday while looking in the Monsoon outlet i noticed alot of "prom style" dresses for £15.

  • I got a fabulous prom-style dress on Ebay from a dress hire agency, they were selling off pre-hired stock; it cost me less than £30 and was absolutely fine, they dry-cleaned them before selling. It would have cost me a minimum of £65 to hire the same dress.
  • I go to the corn market when they have the antique/bric a brac sales on a Thursday and have picked up some real vintage ones that just need a bit of tlc for about £20.

Help......my 16 year old daughter is have her school prom this June.

Some of the dresses are so expensive.does anyone have any ideas where is a good place to by one.I live in Leeds by the way, but don't mind ordering online.

She wants it to be baby blue.

I have been looking on eBay there at lots from China but a bit worried about the quality and wouldn't be able to return it if it was wrong.

Thanks everyone, hope you can help

    Hi
We got sorted out from a new shop in stockport its only just opened and most dresses are cheap, we paid £74.99 and its fabulous.
The shop is near the market dress party i think it was called.
They have a web site you can see the dresses on.
    hope that helps

Are very good for evening dresses, this is where i got 2 of mine for my weddding.Less than £30 each
Best to go asap, as tend to be little stock of dresses come the summer. Tend to get them in during the winter months. But last year in spring/summer had a wedding like range in stock. I dont think you will have much of a problem with finding size 8, as most start from a size 6!!! try visiting as much store as poss. Prob find a dress u like but no size, see it in another store. Each store gets almost the same kind of stock.
A smile and manners doesnt cost any thing
