3 Can unlock Nokia 6630/6680/N70!

I have been in contact with the 3 Executive office regarding unlocking my Nokia 6630.

I got my unlock code, for free, within a few days.

They claim that they are 'testing' the facility to unlock Nokia phones and that is why customer services claim that they are currently unable to do this.

I have a 6630 with 3, my contract with them will end this Nov. Do they only unlock your phone because your contract has finished? Or this is just testing work in progress they will do it for anyone contact them?

3 unlocked my 6680 on the 17th March. It took 2 letters and a fax to executive office to get an unlock code. I also got the unlock code for free as a goodwill gesture. The usual price for the unlock code for Nokia 6630/6680/N70 is £115 in contract and £15 out of contract.

do you have the address that you sent the letter to?

i have been trying for months and now my contract has ended but the phone is no good as i dont use the three network.

I have sent an email asking them to help me unlock 6680 contract finished in october and i will post back if and when i hear anything.


Fingers crossed and if this turns to be true there will be many a happy person and possibly more customers for 3.

I got the same email, an hour or so later the scottish customer services phoned to say I could get it unlocked - apparently they had got the ability to generate the codes in the last few days and customer services in india hadn't been updated with the latest info.
