Poo breath...it's awful isn't it? they simply can't understand they don't smell like roses!! Labby's are such "licky" dogs as well LOL
I think mine started poo munching again when I changed their food to PAH senior instead of Bakers now I come to think about it.....:wave:0 -
If the food isn't digested properly it will still have a lot of goodness in just like it had before so just like putting the bowl of food out again. Might be worth a change of food in that case. Pineapple and/or tomato sauce I was, told is meant to make the poo unappealing!Every day is a new life to a wise man.
Sufficient for the day are it's own worries.:cool:0 -
do you all think that it could be the food then? the bakers/wafcol i understood was really decent food (and decent price lol),but when the vet said they are all much the same thats when i changed to tesco premium which she also likes(she likes poo so says it all really!!!).
perhaps there is a difference in the food for her as an older dog but surely the vet would know best?0 -
I think wafcol is fine, i am not a fan of bakers as it's full of artificial colours, it could be worth changing back to the wafcol and see if it makes any difference!0

My 2yr old cocker is not interested in his own poo, but follows my springer round when he has one. The cocker munches the poo before I can get anywhere near - sometimes have to let them out seperately just so my springer can go in peace!!! He does'nt go for any other poo when where out, and both dogs are fed the same diet.LHS No 2220

Giving Bakers to a dog is like junk food to a child. All those brightly coloured chunks are full of nasties, so I was told when I worked at a Vets and had training, I'd been feeding my old dog it. I don't think older animals digest food so well either. My two dogs love eating the cats' poo and then come and lick your hand!Every day is a new life to a wise man.
