I see we now get a reply to an email regarding reporting a post. Normlaly just get a email to say its been removed or edited etc.

Hi there,
We've put in a new system that will make the way we deal with abuse reports run more smoothly. There is nothing different from your side of things when you report posts. From our side, they are all far more organised in a database which means we are able make sure all reports are dealt with and we don't duplicate each others work.
We have been testing the new system extensively over the past couple of weeks, but if you do notice any reject messages, or threads that are not dealt with within a couple of days of reporting - Please let us know.
As the email says, when you reply to a message, please don't change the subject line. This keeps the replies matched up with the reports. You may not always recieve a personal reply now, primarily if you are reporting spam that is already reported. All reports are still read and acted upon however and you should always recieve an email to say your report has been recieved successfully.
Hopefully this system will save time for everyone and help us contentrate on the more complex forum issues.

I just sent a report and thought it was a nice touch when I received the auto response message to confirm that the email was received. At least now the abuse team won't duplicate each other's work and all reports can be traced I suppose.0
