House selling web sites

  • One One Map is great... the only problem being that it seems virtually all the properties for rent are from Property Finder, and most of the properties for sale are either PF or Fish 4... So the coverage isn't that different to what's already out there.

https://www.getterbetterhome.co.uk offer it for £50 until sold on both propertyfinder.com and fish4, which i think is the cheapest around.

They also give you unlimited pictures and descriptions.

Not private sales but if you are trying to to find houses in a particular area try http://ononemap.com/ - it allows you to search by maps and shows houses for sale on specific streets as little red house icons. You can click on these and it will show you the house and its price with a link to the agent's site. It covers quite a few agents - at least always has a good selection in our area. Really useful if you are interested in a specific area - and great fun if you are just nosey! :p

This is the best thing ever!

Or am i just easily pleased?! :D

ononemap, in my experience isn't upto date & shows a lot of houses as flats. They have picked up some information on properties that the agency I work for has been selling. Some completed or came off the market 5 -6 months ago and are still showing on their site. We have no way of pulling the info of their site.

OnOneMap have had some technical issues recently owing to the success of their service and a massive increase in visiotr numbers which has led to them having to replace /augment their servers to cope with the increased load. IN the last month or so that has meant that their data quality has suffered.

However, this should be back on track and they have a spidering system to check listing validity with the agents website that data matches and is current - so there maybe a problem with older listings still appearing on your agency's own website....??

I'm sure they would be interested to hear if there is a problem with your data - try sending them an email at info@ononemap.com and also check out your own agency website to make sure the properties are not still on there.

Courtjester, our web site is updated several times a day so its not our end. The problem hasn't been in the last month or so, its been going on for months and it not just our site. Speaking to other agents they are having similar problems. I will try & e-mail them.

Housenet doesn't seem to have Lincolnshire listed in the East or the North so where is it?

similar to ononemap, but apparently with the blessing of the sites it pulls from, is primemove.com

i've found the same problem with ononemap (interesting concept, but old properties). don't have time at the moment to play around with primemove but someone else might be able to do a comparison.
