Can someone please let me know why there is now no thread where we can discuss the recession or whats going on in politics?

I do believe it is related to money saving.......

For the recession and economy (and house prices) we have a whole board on the forum here:

It can get a bit heated and a wee bit insular, so new regular posters are needed. we are not all agressive, though we understandably have a bit of reputation, because as you point out its a vital topic, over which strong views are held.

I hope you decide to contribute there.
