Broadband problems

I have been having problems with my broadband every six months or so for as long as I can remember. The problems I have had always end up being down to line problems which have been BT issues.
I play online gaming and keep being disconnected, also my Macbook keeps losing its Airport connection (a common issue I know, but has been fine for the previous 8 months). When I check with my ISP they say I am showing as still being connected. I have 3 different routers and they all have the same problems.
What I would like to do it replace the wiring from near my front door (a small junction box) to rule out any possible wiring issues. The property is 35 years old and still on its original BT wiring. Do I have to get BT to do this or can an electrician do this?
Any comments/suggestions appreciated.

Hi leehal,
I would suggest that your first port of call would be to contact your ISP as they may be able to run through some checks with you to help resolve this issue.
In relation to your wiring, if you would like me to discuss your options regarding the BT socket and wiring please drop me a PM.
Cheers
Sean
