    Good morning all

Went out to dinner last night and couldn't settle afterwards so am facing today on very little sleep - will be surviving today on lots of coffee :D.

DD2 has been back to school for one day and already has loads of coursework to do. Work seems to be monopolizing us all at the moment so housework has not been featuring much in our daily routine:o. I think I need to look at the Flylady thread for some inspiration to keep things under control.

Dinner today - spag bol out of the freezer, and leftover pasta and chicken for lunch.
BM already on, and just need to see if the veggies need watering before going to work. It's really cloudy but not sure if it will rain or not.

Ruthibe 73 - hope your MIL and aunt continue to recover well.
    (((hugs))) to those in need.

Ruthibe73 a couple of years ago my aunt had a benign brain tumor removed. It was the size of an orange and it wasn't until she stopped being able to taste food etc and collapsed one night having a fit that she found out she'd got it! Thankfully they could remove all of it but she'll never regain her sense of taste.
Hope your aunt (and your MIL) make speedy recovery.

it does seem quieter these days on the thread, maybe people are even more busy or spending more time in the garden

got free tickets to see 'Hangover' tomorrow :j its supposed to be really funny, i'm taking DD1 with me as its a 15, I will pop into M+S before to pick up a drink and a snack ( that will save a fortune on cinema prices me thinks)

    Hi everyone,

Halight, I hope you feel better soon, I'm full of admiration for you, I can't begin to imagine the strength it takes to be so positive with your problems hanging over you.

PP - hope the dr has your meds sorted.

Pink - I hope your problems with DS have calmed down a bit, they can be so difficult at times.

Taplady - Fingers crossed your DS gets all his work in.

Positive vibes to anybody who needs them (think I'm giving away my age there).

Dad is still improving and enjoyed a cup of coffee today (he's been fed intravenously and by a drip through his nose for 3 weeks, with nothing before that).

OS wise I must do some sort of left overs meal tonight to empty the fridge of all the bits and pieces.

Will also be trying to catch up with the washing that didn't get done at the weekend because I was away.
  • Morning all,

Not sure where the sunshine is! Certainly not here anyway! Will be a busy day as am going back to work tomorrow after nearly 3 weeks off. Didn't do nearly as much as I thought I would in the house so today will try and blitz.
    Things I definately will do...
-Light washing, in the machine as we speak.
-Cupboard under the TV, sort it out as has random things shoved inside when there was a minac quick clean :o
    - Make some signs for the linen drawers so OH will put things away properly
    - Make lentil pate for s/wiches.
    - Pork stir fry for tea tonight
    - Get things ready for OH to put in the loft
    - General cleaning and hoovering

Hope you all have a good day

  • Morning,

Sunny here atm so i hope it lasts.

Had a day off yesterday and the car broke down:mad::eek: So it'a away to get fixed and apparently it is contaminated fuel which I bought at MR T's that has caused the problem. Cue strong letter and claim form in the post.......

Had a super weekend in Bath where we went to the mineral spa...soooo good! Would really recommend it. We also went to Bristol but tbh it was nothing to write home about.

Cooked a bulked out Shepherds Pie and a Leftover Veg soup in SC yesterday so I felt super productive. I also did all the ironing and cleaned house top to bottom.

OS today is just lunch which is boxed salad and a portion of Shep pie, fruit and yogurt.

Hope everyone is well, have a good day and hugs to those in need:A

  • Hi al

not many about on here today:confused:

Well decided to stay off work this week and rest and get better properly instead of rushing back and am feeling a little better already, starting to get back to normal.
Yesterday was so much better than the normal Monday when I work and has given me the impetus to get my bum in gear with the debts. My plan is get all OHs business debts cleared and then save so we have at least a clear 2 months worth of salary in the bank for emergency situations and then leave work altogether.
I only work 15 hours over 2 days but those 2 days are chaos and DS gets very worked up over it. I can see that as he gets older he will need a huge amount of help and support with schoolwork etc and when he goes to senior school in 4 years it may not be close by due to needing an intergrated resource school for his autism....I may not be able to fit work around that anyway......and I just want to concentrate fully on my home and family now.....the NHS isnt what it used to be and the politics of it prevent me enjoying my job anymore.
I am aiming for 2 years time( we are getting married next xmas so saving for that at same time:rolleyes:)
i have been on Ebay and amazon today selling anything that isnt nailed down:rotfl:
Making HM tomato sugo today to go with some pasta and HM garlic bread later.
Hugs to all in need, not read thread properly yet so wont name names;)

    Afternoon OS chums!

goodluck2.gif to all the children taking exams today and extra hugs.giffor you mums and dads dealing with exam stress!

Not very chatty today as quite frankly I would like to cut my head off and bury it in the garden if it would stop the tooth/ear/jaw/neck ache. Not going to moan any more (just deleted 5 more self pitying lines!)

Jayward - so sorry to hear your news hon
Lesley - your daughter looked so pretty, like a little princess!
snoozer - sorry to hear about your dad - I hope things are looking up for him now
Halight - I hope you feel better soon, you are such an inspiration, I feel foolish for being so distressed about a bit of toothache
Cranky - what a scary thing to happen
Ruthie - hope things get better for you soon hon.
Noahs - well done for taking an extra day off and looking after yourself
    3Jays, Squiggles, Sybil, Tru - hi.gif

OS wise - well last night I had macaroni cheese with the macaroni over cooked but it tasted great. Today will be more porridge, and something else sloppy tonight, maybe corned beef hash if I can cope with it.

Have given up trying to do anything else as moving isn't my favourite hobby right now but have to think of some way of raising £140 to replace the hard drive and power pack so we can get our computer back. They couldn't save ANYTHING on the hard drive so I have lost it all and that is upsetting me too.

Gosh I am sorry to be such a drip today! Will be back tomorrow in better humour I hope.

    with love and light

Diva The biggest & warmest of ((((hugs)))) for you sweetheart toothache is horrible. Hope that the time will pass quickly for you until your appointment tomorrow. You don't sound at all self pitying you are usually such a positive person so don't worry about coming on here to have a good moan :A - it's a very positive relief for all of us sometimes.
