I just got notification from Argos by email that the Sony TFT monitor was back instock. I clicked the link to it and lo and behold it is still out of stock!!

I don't think 2 is that excessive, may be if they ordered 20 or summit! At the end of the day we're here to help each other & if some people are very generous then that's really nice of them. Who's to say if it was sold to someone else on this board they wouldn't then go & sell it on ebay themselves!! I think the danger in condemning people from selling anything on ebay is that people will then do it quietly, I bet people who will never post on this thread got 90% of these monitors!!!!

I've just phoned customer services to query why my reserved items were out on display and why 1 of my items was cancelled.

It seems that when you reserve something and it does happen to be on a display shelf, if a customer then takes it to a till to buy it, a message flashes up on the till to say that it is reserved and cannot be sold.

So (in theory at least) 'my' stuff that was on a shelf on the shop floor wouldn't have been able to be bought.

Useful to know for future use...if it does actually work that way, that is.

Only thing is, very nice customer services lady is going to phone local store and find out where my Cluedo went to, and she's going to ask store manager to phone me.

I'm mortified now.......I just wanted to know what the situation was with display stuff........I'm not all that bothered about the Cluedo.......I didn't want to make a fuss and I'm now just very embarrassed.

Will go switch answer machine on and hide I think.

Btw, I don't think it's a hanging offence for plumb1 to have bought 2 monitors.......but I don't think it was very wise or tactful to anounce the eBay angle on here given that so many peeps are looking for 1. Bit like rubbing the old nose in it?

Just got Back from the Argos in Halesowen after picking up the Cluedo SFX was £29.99 now £7.49 do not have number

There was a few toys on the shelfs with a few pounds off but there was a lego duplo garage set that was £29.99 down to £7.49 sorry did not write down the number

In the Corner of the store there was a whole catalogue of R.O Stuff most of it half price and on the website but a few bargains like table lamp £1.95

I noticed Halo (first one) for Xbox was on the list I saw instore today but they didnt have any in stock. Unfortunately couldnt see much of the list, seemed to be mostly the stuff on the website.

Got the email about the Sony monitors too. I'm guessing there were either very few this time round and they sold out in seconds, or this was a quick way to cancel the email requests as it doesn't look like you can add the item to your basket anymore for submitting an email address.
