Confirmed on Spongebob 371/8320 for £1.24 and the Ellesse Ladies watch 254/0867 for £14.98. Just bought them. No success with the other item numbers I entered.

I visited 2 stores and noticed that most of the cat. numbers came up in the non-extra store as non-existant items. Extra store recognised them all.

I've found two stores selling item 5123906 at the price you mentioned.

Also 5332986 £249.99 one store

I have checked quite a number of the other items but nothing in my area at the moment.

Stumpy I know your doing the 'what's a availble',  wouldn't it be good if we could somehow co-ordinate where its available to prevent a lot of duplicated work. At this stage I don't know how we could do it?? Perhaps regional co-ordinators, anybody any thoughts on that?

Anyone wanting the item numbers mentioned pm me and I'll let you know where the are.

Thanks, I'll update the lists. Don't know if there is any point to doing a "where its available" part - during the last RO blitz often you would find an Argos with loads of stock, and then the next day it would be empty. Conversely, you would also find shops that had none of a certain item, only to find two weeks later that they now had stock. And of course, some of the stuff may be available for order from certain stores, but not others - yet you usually only find out if its available for order by actually going into the shop, you can't r&r it. If anyone wants to attempt it, I'd be happy to stick a link to it from my site, but it sounds like a way of making waaaay too much hard work for my liking!! ;D

With regards to the "sayno" website, I think thats where the current cheaper number comes from, which is now shown on the "Help" page of the RO2005 site.

Okay. Brain is officially dead. Think I must have a bit of a blockage when it comes to these weird telephone numbers

I've got the prices for the "call1899", but for clarity, can anyone let me know what the prices are of:

a) the main Argos Ring and Reserve Number
b) Telestunts number
c) 1280 followed by the telestunt number?

I'm actually going to put a completely separate page on the site about these telephone numbers, there seems to be so many different options. :-/

Cheapest and quickest, especially if you have an O2 sim with 300 txt, is to text the Argos ring and reserve number.

Text item No space and store number (5123906 680) to 07786201201.

Works for me, just confirmed item No 512/3906 in in stock at Prescot for £94.99. Is this the reduced price? Does it get cheaper when you get there?

May have jumped the gun a bit. Appears to be working for some numbers but not others. Even works on some of the old RO list numbers (out of stock but confirmed price). Will keep trying.

If anyone is still interested in the Singstar PS2 Game with two mics, I have just had an email from Argos to say that they have received more stock. I managed to pick this item up last week and its great - well worth the £14.99.

Anyhow, I have checked all my local stores, and NO STOCK. So if you are still after one, there is stock out there - somewhere!!!! I will keep a look out and try a few random stores, and will post if I find anything.

Ref cheapest way of ringing in, I've used the Argos website quite a bit to check and reserve stock at individual stores. I've found it just as quick as the ring and reserve phone line, and less irritating (no listening to "and here's chris with further information" and similar over-familiar expressions!). Cost (unless you're on dial-up) is zero.

I didn't think that the Website worked with the RO list items, or did I pick it up wrong ?
