did anyone buy the goodmans car stereo 500/2450 when it was in catalogue clearance? I have lost the receipt and need to return but they won't do anything without the receipt and I can't remember how much hubby paid for it so they cant trace the transaction. if anyone bought one and paid cash, I would be really grateful for the transaction details. pm me if you are able to help. many thanks. julie

A friend of mine went to fenwicks in Newcastle looking for siut cases and found some for about £50 later the same day found exactly the same ones in Matalan for half the price!!! worth a look
  • Can anyone do me a pic of this? I need to know if its just 0-9 months or up to the age of 4 please?

    0980412 Car Baby Seat 0+ Was £69.99 Now £19.99

    Thanks

    Heather
  • It looked a bit small to me for a 4 year old. If you find an Argos store with it in stock just ask for a viewing. They will order up the item for you to look at and then you can decide if it is any good.

According to this site, 0+ is supposed to be from birth to around 15-18 months.

Was looking for an espresso machine to take to work to save me the temptation of forking out on expensive coffee bar drinks! Anyway spotted Argos have a half price Cordon Bleu, pumped (15 bar) espresso machine. Have used it for a couple of days now, I can confirm it works fine, looks stylish and makes a decent strong cup of trible espresso.

Not the quietest machine in the world, and not as well built as my Krups at home (costing considerably more), also coffee cup has a tendency to vibrate across the plate when it's empty!

    421/0683 - £24.99 - Cordon Bleu 15 bar espresso machine.

Available for store pickup only, but can check stock levels online as it appears in their clearance section.

    HTH - Rufus.

I've just bought one of these car seats this evening. As the poster above says, 0+ seems to be 0 to 9-12 months (I think it depends on weight).

I haven't had a good look at the literature yet, but it's a Graco Autobaby Car Seat and appears to be in "Metropolitan" colours.

    [edit]It's the G-Tek colour/pattern.
You can get a matching pushchair from https://www.preciouslittleone.com for £69.99 delivered. The cheapest place I could find for the optional base was https://www.kiddicare.com - £25.99 delivered.[/edit]

If you've any questions I'll try and look up the answers.

Hope that helps, and thanks to the original poster who listed it.

I've got some bad news for you, Stumpy. I've been told that from the next catalogue it won't be possible to classify an item by the first three digits (e.g. 400 is a microwave). Argos have predicted that if they keep this system then they will run out of numbers within 2 years. To solve this problem they will be organising the stockrooms by a new system, and this means that the items could have any catalogue number. For example, a new microwave in the next catalogue could start with 400, 123, 884, or even 001. That means that it will take people like Stumpy a lot longer to sort items by category, and it will probably cause problems when asking staff for an RO list of microwaves.
