I'm just sorting through my post and have opened (yet another) junk mail credit card application... this time for a Vanquis credit card (from Vanquis Bank Ltd - who??!) offering an astonishing 39.9% APR, variable, annual rate.
Wow! Where do i sign??
I am shocked. 39.9%?? That's got to be a new record, surely??
Unbelievable.

I am going to move this to Credit card board, it has been discussed before many times, Vanquis send me app forms time after time I just write something like "You robbing ****" on it in thick black pen and send it back in the envelope.
I have asked them to stop sending them but they don't understand so it keeps costing them the price of a second stamp everytime they send one.0 -

I remember getting something from them years ago, but at the time it was 49.9% I sent everything pack to them in their pre-paid envelope."I did then, what I knew then. And when I knew better, I did better"0

Sadly, they get away with it because they aren't too fussy about who they'll accept. People with very poor credit ratings can sometimes be desperate enough to take anything on offer.
BCEveryone needs something to believe in.

Desperate people will go to desperate measures to borrow when times are hard .... I wouldnt judge anyone whe accepts there offer more than anyone who hasnt tarted or used 0% deals in the past, people who arent informed of choices cant make a choice. If it doesnt pay rent sell it.
