Anyone know a decent (and cheap) pop3 email provider I can use when I change ISP?
I'm wanting to get something that I can send and receive using Outlook or Thunderbird and I don't need to change every year or two if I change ISP, and get something a bit more personal than me@isp.com would be good!

Hi,
I use https://www.beeb.net for my POP3, its free and very reliable, and I don't use them as an ISP
You sign up as if you were using their payg service, but then only utilise the email service.
Nothing special with the address, ie xx@beeb.net

Thanks for that. I take it you're able to use them for incoming (pop3) and outgoing (smtp) email?
Cheers

Hi,
Yep, smtp and pop3.
.....and if you use the web mail, there is no advertising!0 -
Alternatively, you could look here.
PostAccessLite has HTTP, POP3 and IMAP access, virus- and spam-filtering. The address you get is a bit unwieldy though...0 -
I use boltblue, free & highly recommended recently in a newspaper review.
However to really do what you want, I'd suggest registering your own domain, & using email forwarding, you'll never have to change email address's again, you can have as many as you like, & who you use for pop3 is irrelevant.
