Lost receipt on item to go back

as long as you can prove that you bough it from them, then that is enough ... you don't need the original receipt - a bank statement showing the transaction should do it ... or have you kept the original box ... does it have comet stickers on it?

Just pop in and ask for a duplicate receipt as you need it for your Insurers, they will ask you some info eg approx date etc. They will normally print a duplicate receipt there and then. Simply take it off them, walk out to your car, grab the kettle and go back in and ask for a replacement / repair.
I've done this myself on a laptop and it works0 -

So you are thinking if i go to a discount store and buy an item boxed with an argos brand on it for example I have to take it back to Argos if it goes faulty? Wake up and smell the roses. If you buy off anyone and pay them for it you bought it off them!! Check it out!!!The solving of a problem lies in finding the solvers.0 -

Comet and PC World etc etc can issue a duplicate receipt if you give them enough information to find when the original receipt was issued. If it was an expensive item where you gave your name and address they can find it if you give them your name and / or address.
If you shy you can get a duplicate receipt from one branch (The branches tills / computers are all lined) and then take it back to another branch.
I did this at PC World recently with no problems0 -

Why not start a thread of your own giving the full details of your issue.0
