Hi DI3004 We have just had a reply from FRF, Basically they are saying they are in the right and we don't have a leg too stand on, Because we renewed finance in 2007 (we had previouse finance also with same company before new finance) we had the right too cancel the PPI and as we did'nt then thats are fault, At that time none off the information reguaeding PPI and Mis-selling had'nt come too our attention, We heard about Claiming back Bank charges and also PPI on bank loans but not on car finance till i seen a TV advert, We need advice on where we should go from here, All information greatly recieved, We are soo flustrated on their attitude too us,( Car finance held with same company now for 7yrs), only 1yr left with them, We feel we are being treated unfair.
More advice needed PPPPPPPPPLLLLLLLLLLLZZZZZZZZZZZZZRegards

Having PPI and/or GAP insurance is not a mis-sale. Its how its set up and/or sold that potentially means it is.
So, you need to tell them why you think it was mis-sold. You cant just ask for your money back because you havent claimed. There has to be a reason for it.
So, why were you mis-sold? If you phone the FOS, they are going to ask you why you think you were mis-sold.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0 -

Thankyou Dunstonh & di3004 For your help, We were told to take PPI as this would prosess the finance quicker and also were told that the fund would be available that day, We thought that it was all part off the corse until all this new information came too light and now we know we wer'nt given the option on weather too purchase or not, Going back 6-7yrs we just thought it was something you had too have.Regards

Hi Tracey
I take it you have checked the date on the letters to be sure they did not cross each other, if you know what I mean?
Despite that, maybe they have changed their minds, but the only way to find out is to give them a quick call to make sure, because if they had already given the final response before that you can go to the FOS, and you don't want to miss the timescale on doing this, although its 6 months.
Good luck.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
