Hmmm not a good day for me.
I went to work as normal and took my breakfast with me. Lunch was made up of a strange brand pot noodle thing in my desk drawer but I did buy crisps and a milky way to go with it.
I went to the shop for milk on the way home and picked up some reduced coffee as well, at 69p for a 227g bag of ground coffee I couldnt resist. I also got 6 pitta breads for 3p! yes 3p!
Pitta breads stuffed with whatever was in the fridge (cooked beef, tomato and remnants of some sweet chilli dipping sauce) made tea and I'll make something similar to take to work tomorrow for lunch.
Then I finally phoned by parents and explained that due to my ex's personal debts with the mortgage lender, they had taken a court order and I wont get a penny when the property sells.
My Mum was a bit shocked but calm, my Dad very angry and frustrated, in tears eventually. I dont think he has been in tears since my Grandad passed away.
Probably my hardest day yet as a DFW and really it wasnt anything financial that made it that way.
Only day that comes close is when the bank sent me a letter telling me they were repossessing the property, in error.
Tomorrow's a new day. The financial outlook isnt any better but at least it cant be any worse !0 -
Oh Marru - I'm so sorry you have had such an upset today - especially when you were on such a lovely high from yesterday. I hope your new man will help you feel better and give you lots of lovely support.
Hi
Thank you I am ok now. I will call National Debtline tomorrow and ask their help. If the bailiff has done anything at all against the rules and regulations I am so going to have them for breakfast. And my new man has been a star :smileyhea
