Well i am sooooo glad i found this website,
my family had this letter this morning sag saying we had won a seasons holidays competition i was at a bus stop on my way to town when my dad text me, i even text him saying it was probably a con but when i got back i read the letter, and i was thinking maybe its not a con as not everyday you get a letter throught the post saying you have won a holiday so i thought wow, i wonder where its to ? and my mum said she will ring the number 1st thing monday morning , but the thing was none of my family has entered a competition ??? so i have just emailed them this website and hopefully read it carefully and dont think that theyre all a lie which i doubt they wont lol, i guess id rather go without a holiday than pay loads andloads of money for a so called "free" holiday. Anyway thanks to you all and thanks to the person who made this forum x thanks x:rolleyes:0 -

This seems to be a hoax warning. See
http://www.easykey.net/hoaxes-and-bogus-warnings/visa-fraud-my-badge-number-is-12460
However, the Snopes site say that it has happened ??? and offer the advice
*If you get any calls asking for information from your card say that you will call Visa/ or whoever yourself or visit your bank the following day, in the mean time if they think there has been a fraud on your card then they should put a stop on it immediately."0 -
Planet49 - avoid, avoid, avoid. These guys are nothing but spammers.

yep got a call today telling me I had 'won' a holiday. "yeah right" was my instant thought.
after 'confirming' my details as married and a homeowner - I am neither and never claim to be. I was told that I hadn't won the main prize of the trip to new york but had one a holiday for four people in Europe.
Gave me a free phone number and a security code.
Well being cynical as ever my thought was "ok how much of a processing fee will this 'prize' cost me?"
Didn't get that far as the free phone number didn't exist. Got the BT message of the number was not recognised.
The old theory of "if it sounds too good to be true is probably is" should always be followed.0 -
