faulty bmw bought from garage

bought bmw convertible 19 days ago from garage, it is 2004 and we paid 11500 for it. 2 days ago my husband noticed a slight leak on the front, a bmw mechanic has looked at it and has said it need a new radiator. we have a 3 months aa warrenty with it but have been told by them that this does not include the radiator is there anything i can do

I doubt it...... annoyingly. Probably 'classed' as wear and tear!

Either way, it shouldn't be expensive to replace, unless you to the dealer :eek:

Might be the outlet pipe for the air con compresser perhaps?

we often get people in during the summer with "water leaks"

only covers major parts not the radiator

Radiator is a major part, as without it the car wont function. ie not be fit for what it is intended to do. Under the SOGA...

It's a bit like buying a brand new house and having to buy your own cement...

just read cover again and it quotes just about everything but the radiator

The dealer should really offer some warranty that they stand themselfs. ie not using some extended plan.

Does it actually state clearly the specific assemblies that are covered i.e engine,gearbox,alternator,power steering pump etc or is it vague??

If there is no hope then you could have the radiator repaired.

it states specifics and the radiator isn`t mentioned. thanks for the liknk but a family friend works for bmw and he has said he will do it, but it just seems annoying that we haven`t had it 3 weeks yet.
