Morning all
I did all the bedrooms yesterday, so a star please Soappie
Today I've cut the grass back and front, ahead of the forecast rain this afternoon. Edged it and swept up too.
Dusted living room and computer desk and vacuumed right through downstairs.
Just sorted out a little basket from the computer shelf which holds batteries/charger/tester, washed out the basket and put stuff back tidily.
Washed my hairbrushes and comb, now drying in the sun.
Thinking about cleaning the bathroom, which I normally do on Thursday, but I've got a bit of a sinus headache so I don't think that's a good plan. See how I feel this afternoon.
I just watched a programme (homes behaving badly). They go on about clutter and you see all their stuff (shoes, boxes of nappies etc) which is all very well, but in the end it's all lovely and clear but there is no sign of their stuff. I know we all want clear spaces but if you've got small children and you have boxes of nappies you have to keep them somewhere, they don't just disappear. I bet all the stuff is out in the garden until the cameras have gone. Grrr. I'm all for getting rid of clutter but there will always be stuff you have to keep and not everybody has big houses and lots of cupboards.
Going to catch up a bit now.
I need to do the basket thing for chargers, forever losing them, buying more and then blommim finding the originals!!!
And totally agree with these home makeover shows, you cannot poss keep a house like that with children/pets or people!!!!!!

Totally agree :T I find it vaguely disturbing to go to people's house, where there are primary school children, but no sign of toys, games, or general children-ness
HHC was productive - windows washed, sitting room tidied, dusted and polished
Off to run a few errands, then do some filing and admin

well I emptied the TD and reloaded, loaded WM and DW, folded the clothes unfortunately because I let the clothes in the TD I do have a small ironing pile. Emptied the shredder and a couple of bins, pulled the green bin in from the road and started to clear the stairs.
Right at the end the door went and it was my first ever parcel of Yankee Candles

our house must be perfect then! :rotfl::eek: toys all over the place! Miss A was asking about how much children cost the other day. So we looked round the lounge and I said 'what would the room look like if all your stuff was not in here or the rest of the house?' She replied that it would look bare and I would be here all on my own and would be very lonely. Therefore the kids stuff staysjust needs thinning down and tidying up
plus I would hate to be here on my own.
ETA holly glad they caught the scrote, hope they send them down for a long time.Official Mascot and Chief Cheerleader for the 'Mortgage Free in Three' Gang0 -

My DH would prefer it if our house was like that! He's a bit of a 'tidy freak' (but expects others to do it!) and moans how the house 'is always a pig sty' if there is one thing out of place.0
