Quick hello to you all. Just got back from weekend away...we had a fantastic time. Beautiful weather, great company and all 9 children got on fantastically. Shattered now though so it's bed and flying will hopefully resume tomorrow. Back much better.
Extra hugs for tootles, LL and hazel xx0 -
Well done on your race for life msgnomoney. Hope you're not too tired after that and all the gardening. Bet you'll sleep well tonight.
Well done on your full set of stars Froddy.
Not had a proper read of the thread today so hugs to everyone who needs one today. Hope Hazel is a bit better today Pigpen.
We had a lovely walk this morning with DH the girls and my mum and dad. We went accross some National Trust land which ends up with a brilliant view of the runway at Manchester Airport. DD2 loves planes and even after half an hour she was still jumping and waving at every plane she saw. We'll definately be taking her there again. Shame we can't afford to actually take her on a flight though. Maybe in a few years.
Off to bed in a bit. See you all tomorrow.0 -
Evening all
Glad to report the salad potatoes were ready and delicious.
Just had a sneaky 2 hours in the garden, I didn't realise the time with it being so light.
Nice neighbour opposite came to ask how to use freecycle as he had a bike he nolonger needed, we have acquired it so DH now has a bike to ride to the station. It is old so shouldn't get knicked (he will lock it) and will be just the job.
I need to iron some uniform for the kids for school and once I'm done I'll have some vanilla icecream.
Caught a mozzie on me whilst I was in the garden and that was with my insect stuff on - grrrrrrrrrrr it is going to be a long suffer. Talking of mOZzy haven't seen her all week. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Evening ladies
Had a good afternoon at work everything went smoothly and I had some down time sitting in the sun as well . Once home OH had cooked dinner so we've munched and I've since cleared the kitchen and caught up on here.
hex - sounds like the bathroom will be a positive thing, please try and ensure you get some rest with your workload too
toots - thank you so much for your kind words - we are very lucky to have friends like you and the others on hear, you have all been more supportive than our real friends. Together we are strong and hopefully that has helped us get this far without crumbling in a messy heap
rosepink - sorry you're not feeling so good today. I eat rubbish too when I feel poorly but for me its usually chips or chilli that sets me right
HH62 and dragonfly - I have been flying for prob 2 years now, have good weeks and bad weeks. On the whole though the 'public areas' of the house arent too bad and can be done (prob every other week in this house) but I still have 4 rooms which are absolute bins. Until I can find the time to declutter those I havent got a hope in h3lls chance of finishing the list. I guess what I am saying is it wont be clean over night so dont beat yourself up over not doing it all
pigpen - I hope Hazel is improving
tooch - where did you go in your carrie, we are starting to look for new places to go. OMG that is such a horrible story, I'm sorry if I offend anyone but I'm afraid some people deserve to be hung up like that until they are begging for mercy
boddy - hope you can stay strong with the work thing going on, I know how difficult it can be
sunshinesheli - glad you had a good time away
msgnomey - well done on doing race for life, I used to enjoy running but cant do any more because of my anaemias
I'm going to have to sign off now as I have loads of laundry to sort out, uniforms to iron and OH's suit to make immaculate for tomorrow. As I wont be getting back in for the new thread please can I ask someone to pass a request on for me - my dear friends, please can we have really positive vibes for OH for his disciplinary hearing at 11am tomorrow. He is a very good man and a brilliant paramedic who has people trying to stitch him up. I pray that he will come out of it with his head held high and his job intact. Thank you ladies until tomorrowMortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!0 -
Garden is lovely and tidy (mowing and deadheading and the leylandii bit of the hedge dealt with). I went for a walk with my mum too, which was nice. She also helped me turn my mattress and make my bed. My dad has tidied the patio and put lots of stuff away in the garage.
Rugs from upstairs are on the airer in the utility room, and the WM has a cleaning cycle with cloths in it ready to go... in fact I must put that on in a minute.
My mum is currently doing my ironingas she says she has nothing else to do
while my dad reads his book. I'm trying to fill in my assessment form for work...
So apart from the study, the house is pretty clean and tidy. As I'm away for most of the week, hopefully it will stay that way and I'll be able to get the study sorted fairly soon (after all, I need to sort out my paperwork and finances in case of redundancy...)
Toots - slow down. You are NOT to make cheesecake!0
