    Good evening everyone :beer: We had a lovely day out on our bikes today. Clumber Park was hosting a WWII re-enactment, so it was heaving. We were glad to have bikes to get onto the distant paths away from the crowds :j We had a great cream tea, to the sounds of 2 wonderful GIs crooning songs from the 40s ;) DD bought a vintage leather handbag with brass clasps (we reckon it's 1950s, or earlier) for £15 - she's well chuffed as new bags she's seen on the internet are over £50 :T

    Had a great HM sausage and HG potatoes and salad barbeque, and I'm about to open the wine :beer:

    Thanks for my Little House Soappie :A

    See you on the next thread, Penny. x

    So i have realised i must take baby steps... de-cluttering being the biggest job to tackle first and hopefully the cleaning will then fall into place.

    I can promise you that decluttering, then cleaning, little and often (roping in ALL members of the household) works wonders :T It's taken me over 6 months. I now do the bulk of the housework in 3 mornings, 30mins on the other 4 days, and the 4 of us now do about 15mins each evening to keep the place spic and span :beer:

    Hi,

    I'm just nipping in quickly to say Soappie i've done a HHI so can i have my last star please.
    Don't worry if it's too late though. Unfortunately i have about another 6 HHI's worth of ironing to do:rolleyes: i doubt i'll get it done tonight though. I also need to do some studying, have a bath as i'm filthy after all that gardening and loads of other things i can't remember.

    I'm going to continue my ironing, i expect i'll see you all on the new thread.

    Froddy and thank you to for your pm - it all makes sense now - and i will answer shortly too - but I need to to say WELL DONE getting the LR sorted out - I am very proud of you - I knew you could do it - is it all upstairs in the spare room or have you worked through it - No wonder your arm is sore:rolleyes: but i bet it feels good when you look around.

    Awww thanks Toots :A I moved it all up to the spare room and am very slowly sorting through it - realistically it'll be a summer holidays job to finally sort it all! Wasn't that that caused most problems with my arm though - it was a trip out with the children on Weds :o

    I'm glad you've got plenty of people to talk to but I sympathise with the wanting to rest too! Please don't do too much - just natter on here ;)

    sexy It must have been nice yesterday to go out with moon - trust him to buy another 'toy' :eek: - I know you said you were busy this week and thats good - were you in any schools where there are vacancies - hope you are still applying - be sure to let us know when you get an interview so we can focus on you. take it easy today and dont wear yourself out.

    That smiley sums up how I felt when he bought his new toy too, and also add :mad: as he only bought one a couple of weeks ago and said it would be the last one! Apparently the new toy he bought is (in the words of the shop owner, and moon agreed) "as rare as rocking horse poo", so he had to have it! Still, at least he's been trying to help me today with the bathroom to make up for it all. ;)

    One of the schools I was in did have a vacancy, but having seen the school from the inside, and heard the comments by members of staff, I decided not to apply there. If the other school that I was at on Monday had had a vacancy, I would've jumped at the chance! Don't think there is likely to be any more vacancies coming up before september now unfortunately, as the deadline for resignations was the end of May, so it's been and gone now, and I expect most school will have already advertised and filled their positions by now. I know that I haven't got an interview for one of the ones I applied for, as the interview is on Monday, and I've not been contacted. Will definitely let you all know if I do get an interview though.

    You take care of yourself too - glad to hear that your support workers are friendly. I'd make the most of having an early dinner and have an early night too - sounds like you could do with one.

    I'm off to see LadyL tomorrow morning as I'm not working til the afternoon. I'm really looking forward to seeing her again, as we've not had a catch up for a while. Plus, I'm excited about meeting her new babies as well. Greenbee I'll be passing on the magazines that you gave to me, so that'll be 3 flyladies who've benefitted from them.

    Off to have a bit of relaxation now before OH calls to say he's on his way home.

    See you all on the new thread,

    sexymouse xx

    Good evening all, back from the van, had a good weekend, went out on friends boat yesterday with said friend and DD -she lovedit and I have to admit I thought it was pretty cool too.
    Haven't read much of th thread but huge, gentle hugs for Hazel, poor little thing. I remember years ago there was a guy who lived in my mothers street, he lved on his own and wasn't quite all there but he had two little black scottie dogs and he would walk them all the time for miles. One morning he went to get them from the shed he had turned into a little home for them and one of them and been hung from the roof......little gits who done it were never found and the guy was heart broken, those dogs were his life!!!

    sorry to be a bit morbid but that kind of thing really annoys me....

    Anyway, Soappie, I completed all of the lists before I went down the van on Friday, so can I have some stars please, thanks xx

    Ohh Tooch what a horrible story. That's so sad. :(

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Toots you've made me spit my coffee out laughing! "So will we be seeing you whizzing through the housework over the next couple of days??" :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: Yes.... of course!!! :D :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: I should really tho, the old fella's been putting in a fair old amount of graft recently, I've been a lazy mare at home really. :o
    Anyway, I just wanted to say how lovely it is to have you back Lady Toots. And, while I know it's one of the things you are legendary for doing, I think I might have to get bossy, and say that you don't have to always remember and comment on everything that's been posted Missy! Your posts are so lovely, you remember everyone, and are so considerate, but I know how long it takes to do those long ones.
    It's so so lovely to have you back.... we don't want to loose you again! :)
