Just made me laugh at that one Skinty and i need cheering up.:o
Well folks have been in casualty this afternoon.Yep you can't let me loose around town!
Drove DD2 to her friends and coming back my knee locked and something gave way in my leg again. Nearly crashed the car and managed to get around the corner to my house. Lovely neighbour and son took me to casualty and i have had an x ray. Result is that the operation i had to straighten knee cap looks ok but knee badly swollen and am in a lot of pain. Am doped up and have anti inflammatories, he thought at first that it was septic :eek:and that i need antibiotics, but decided on this route...offered me crutches which i said no to as it would only be for a couple of days, and so am sat at home..bloody miserable as my trip is cancelled to see ISOM.
I have been looked after well, but am mad at self because i was being careful with knee and thigh, it was only because i had to brake hard:o The doctor kept saying to me be thankful you weren't on the motorway and he was right i suppose.
All my plans whoosh, and its only the second day of my hols too....:o:o:o
Taking my miserable self off now.Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

Mr.B has this week on his day off yesterday:
1.Washed up twice and put two loads of washing in:D
2. Cut out lots of money off vouchers for mag
3. Got us in cheaply to cinema yesterday by having a discount Tuesday card and researched that if we went before a certain time it saved at least £3.
4. Went to the shops with a list:D
5. Did spend more on razors and shaving gel, but got a deal in Boots with boots card for points and got more points and a £5 discount voucher off facial care (dd2 gratefully grabbed that one)
6. Hoovered
7. Has kept on top of everything this week ( money wise)
So i can see the start of things to come. Long may he keep it up...he must finally have got the message. Fingers crossed.:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

Thanks for all your messages guys.
Knee looks like a lopsided orange at the moment, is a bit sore but went to bed early with painkillers and had a really good nights sleep. Can move about a lot better this morning, but looks like it may well be wear and tear from all the damage inflicted on it years ago, before the op. So will have to be a bit more careful and like everyone else at the moment, opt for sensible excercise and diet...on a budget of course.
Have taken the bandage off as it annoys me and doesn't help when walking about the house, will wear it for first few days when being a bit more active.
So will go and do MSE stuff, banking etc. Sit and mull over lack of DR.Who stuff and good company....have to unpack my bag now:o:o:o
Have to say Mr.B was very concerned last night and fussed over me a lot was really nice to have that. Family all rang as well and i was told in no uncertain terms to rest up or else! So am being a good BOB and making the kids do all the running round and making of brews today. Mr.B even brought me a cuppa in bed.....has aliens invaded or summat?:rotfl:
Hope everyone has a good day. xBlackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
