Advice please: well-worn shoes...

Options
Hey all, no doubt I'll get a little slamming from some people, so please, if you have no helpful advice then please don't post :)

I've been sorting out my wardrobe and noticed that I had a few pairs of shoes that I can't really do anything with, charity shop won't want them etc, and I remembered reading something about 'well-worn' shoes on here! So I was wondering whether anyone sells similar items and whether anyone had any advice for selling, I'd be really grateful!

Thanks :)
:D**Thanks to everyone on here for hints, tips and advice!**:D

I would be very careful with that, as one of my friends listed shoes and she got all sorts of weird messages! But if you think you can handle it then go ahead...

I heard this rumour too not sure if it is true, cabin crew shoes are supposed to do well and those that are part of a uniform.

I've sold a few pairs of my old shoes ~ money rather than throwing them away! :money:
You do get some strange messages though so just beware of that. Make sure you describe them exactly as they are and put on your listing that they will be cleaned to ebay's satisfaction. They need to be fit for use although what the winner will use them for is anyone's guess :rotfl:

Are you determined to sell them? Hostels might take them, as people always think of charty shops but not often of homeless shelters etc...

Just remember as well that ebay prohibit 'adult or fetsih' goods and that is the whole point of well worn shoes.

I told my skint sis about the market for well worn shoes, she sold some of her boots and was thriving with the attention (jammy cow has lovely slim legs unlike my tree trunks!! haha!!). She didn't make much but maybe because she's a new seller?

What does really freak me out is when people list WELL WORN KIDS SHOES! what parent in their right mind would buy the kids trashed shoes? Unless they are totally oblivious to 'that' market  and have listed them innocently? I saw some described as really smelly once
If google doesn't know it, how should i?

  • I agree that the whole point of "well worn" shoes are for fetishes so 1) you'll get loads of creepy messages 2) it's prohibited on ebay anyway....

I sold some vintage stockings recently in a large size belonged to my Aunt. I sold them to a person! in Europe I then started recieving pictures of him wearing the stockings. Now granted he looked good. But really to much! Only due to the fact that he looked wonderful in them! Each to their own!
