I dont use comodo anymore so i cant be sure but can you just disable the defense alert thingy or is the defence thingy the firewall, if not then yes maybe disable firewall is your best bet, maybe wait for another reply0

Turn your security off while you install.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

how do you do that ?Strider590 wrote: »Turn your security off while you install.0 -
anyone know how you turn off the security ? got everything all pulled out in middle of floor trying to install this .....
have been into tools.....internet options and then security but you can only change it from medium to high or low....not OFF0 -
I don't use comodo - but isn't there an icon for it in the bottom rihgt hand corner ? If you hold cursor over it, it should mention comodo . If you right click on this icon you may get a dialogue box which gives you the option to exit.
Otherwise end the process in task manager - control, alt, delete buttons together.0 -
Help . I thought i had exited the comodo as explained in the above post but it keeps coming up in the middle of trying to install the printer. it says
is7B.exe is trying to creat a new file, but no matter how many times i clisk to allow the request it just comes up again on the comodo alert thing..... can i delete the comodo programme and re install it ?
after 3 hours, i am loosing the will to live here.......0 -
Yes, simply delete it now and reinstall it once the printer is installed. No free lunch, and no free laptop

sorry to be stupid but how will i re install it after ? if its deleted , and will my computer be safe as i have my bank accounts online...?0

Well, how did you install it in the first place? Either you have it on CD, or you downloaded it. As long as you have the valid licence key you should be able to reinstall it -check on the comodo website or help menu.
Your computer is quite safe as long as you stay offline until you reinstall it.
Comodo is a very poor AV program anyway (as you are finding out), you would be much better protected using Avira or Kaspersky (the former is free, the latter currrently free if you bank online with Barclays). No free lunch, and no free laptop

You can disabled comodo in the taskbar, right click and exit
Best disabled internet connection though just in case then enable it after and same with comodo
You can add programs to comodo to stop security it should prompt you to0
