Virgin media install

Does anyone know what the virgin install procedure is, I have no cable wiring in my house already but i'm in a cable area. Also is there a V+ box that isn't HD?

They should run the cable through a wall by drilling a small hole and connecting a little white box inside. From that a cable running round your skirting board to where the TV,phone BB is.

All V+ boxes are HD But if you do not have a HD TV you do not plug the extra cable from the V+ box to your TV. They may have the extra HD cable with them or post it out. Its just like an ariel lead, you plug in the V+ box and the TV.

Thanks, will I get an exact time for the install aswell? Because 8am to 1pm or 1pm to 6pm is a bit too vague for me.

Normally you wont get an exact installation time (they cant due to traffic/othe installations/problems on jobs etc)....it'll be an AM 8-1 or a PM call 1-6 (although previous installations we've had thankfully the engineer called before coming to us...not a guarantee though it'll happen with you
