Please excuse my ignorance ! ! ! This is not something I usually take note of. When flying back to the UK from a country within the EU, can someone advise me of the price of tobacco [Golden Virginia if possible] at the duty free at the airport ? ?
Thanks in anticipation

Dont know but it'll depend what country your flying back from. France's prices will be different from Spains which is different from Belgiums etc. Check it at the Airport you fly out from then on the plane and finally when your over there.0

There are still tobacco/cigarette restrictions, as far bringing them into the UK from some of the newer EU member states are concerned - http://customs.hmrc.gov.uk/channelsPortalWebApp/channelsPortalWebApp.portal?_nfpb=true&_pageLabel=pageTravel_InfoGuides&propertyType=document&id=HMCE_PROD_0095600

It won't be duty free. In the EU it is duty paid and much higher allowances than non-EU countries.
Yes tobacco is €35 for 10 x 50g at Tabac shops in Spain and around €43 at the airport.0 -
As above, if you are flying back from an EU country you CANNOT buy Duty Free. You can usually buy DUTY PAID but overall I have found it is cheaper to buy it in the town before going to the Airport than buying it in the Airport.
Remember that even though you can take back as much as you want of Duty Paid goods for personal use, cigarettes, alcohol etc. that Customs still have "guidelines" for what is considered personal use. I believe its in the region of 1000 cigarettes, 10 litres of spirits and 100 litres of beer (!).
If you take back more than that you may have to prove its for personal use (however your supposed to do that!).0 -
Have a look at this link for allowance;

You can buy duty paid when leaving the country, not when entering it.0
