Pontins - Blackpool some advice needed

to the op - ive been to 3 different pontins (been every year for the last 7 years) and apart from camber sands (which was a complete dive) they have been fine,

every apartment has been clean and ive never had to report anything or ask for a new room etc
there are a lot of bad pontins reviews online, i think thats because your more likely to complain about a bad holiday than to praise a good one if you know what i mean,
if everyone who loved thier holiday wrote an online review you probably wouldnt be able to find a bad one!

we will be at brean sands next week and we cant wait!
yes its dated, the entertainment is still the same as you described, but the kids LOVE it and its a break for us

Thank you for this - I know what you mean about being more likely to post a review if you are complaining.
We are really looking forward to going now and I love a bit of nostalgia so I am sure we will really enjoy it. I don't mind if it is in a 1970s time warp because I have always loved that heidi hi 'good morning campers' nonsense. It reminds me of holidays with my Mum, Gran and Grandad when I was little - and I enjoyed these holidays every bit as much as the holidays we went to Florida with my Mum and Dad. I guess it is true that a holiday is what you make of it.

I hope you enjoy your holiday and your week of peace It is really good just to get away from it all for a while.

Whenever we go on holiday we always go to the tourist information and ask for any free/discount vouchers for the attractions. If you are going somewhere you don't know they can advise on some nice places to see.

Well it has been 4 weeks now since we returned from Pontins Blackpool and the kids can't stop going on about it. They had a ball and have already decided we are going there again next year. Even us grownups enjoyed ourselves too.

We have just found out that we can both get the october half term off and were considering booking pontins again for the week. However, we have been quoted approx £850 for the week, which is £300 more than we paid for our week in July.

This is just too expensive for us so I was wondering if anyone knew of any promotional codes I could try.

i have just booked blackpool mid week august bank holiday week family of 3 £218 classic half board ,club was £278

think its a good deal and my sons school doesnt open till 7th sep:j

we have been there before few years back and classisc was very basic

We go about 3 times a year. I do not actually see the difference between classic and the basic room. There are no extras that I know of unless it is something to do with decor and the type of door they have. When I went last year i asked about a classic room as I thought they had the microwave in but I got told no they were only in club rooms. The main difference is the club rooms, paper in the mornings, electric paid for, bigger tv, microwave.
