Who has breached childminder contract??

Totally agree with you confused mum, the poster who said about the contracts has obviously had a bad experience and is tarring all childminders with the same brush.
The majority of modern day childminders are far more professional than ever before, and have a heck of a lot expected of them. As in any profession there are good and bad childminders, but there are just as many good and bad parents.
This is what the contracts are for, the original childminder and original poster had a disagreement, it would appear that the disagreement was not covered by the contract. Contracts usually cover money, days of minding, sickness, leave and notice. The main concern from the parent was the dog, followed by supervision. Both welfare issues rather than money or contractual difficulties.'we don't stop playing because we get old, we get old because we stop playing'0 -
OP, sorry to hear about your experience and glad you got it all sorted.
I have never had to use a childminder but have a good relationship with a number of them who mind children from the school my dds attend.
I hold them in very high regard and know they can often have a lot of hassle from people who don't understand what is entailed in the job.
I often ask one of the childminders for advice on things about my girls, mainly the development side.
I have the uptmost respect for anyone who chooses to childmind, I couldn't do it!0
