The only advice i have is you have got to really want it like i now want my debts cleared, it has helped me focus on my debts, as now i know if i want something i can get it!!, also a little bit of pressure with the 3 year old and one on the way also helped!!.
I took a similar approach also. I had 2, 2 hour lessons per week. It hit me financially and socially, but I passed first time after around 2 months.
I've known friends who only have a one hour lesson each week and it's taking them sooooo long to get to test stage. I think it's because one hour a week is not enough. You forget stuff and you aren't practising enough.
I also got my Mum, Dad, Brother in Law, friends etc to take me out in my car for extra practice. Every little helps! lol
Would advise saving up first though. I didn't. Guess how I financed it all? Oh yes, topping up a loan! Oh, how I would kick myself now if I could go back in time! lolFebruary wins: Theatre tickets0 -

And people wonder why I don't miss my home town much.....concrete jungle full of chavs...compared to....beautiful canals and smiley happy people who greet you randomly in the street. Mmmmm, I wonder! lol
Don't get me wrong though, still miss friends and family loads!February wins: Theatre tickets0 -
Right a PAD of £5.01 from me today but im a bit concerned, looking at the next couple of weeks im going to be hard pushed to make many PADs, we have got the loan payments coming out and a few other bits, i suppose this suggests how my mind set has changed that im now worried about not making enough PADs when ive paid nearly £300 off in 2 weeks!!!.
Saying that i should be able to make a few more quite big ones as my other half has got people coming out her ears asking to do their hair before she has the baby!
By the way do i include my monthly repayments in my pads?, this is something i have always paid so just doesnt seem like im paying stuff off with this money as its a neccesity?, would fell like ive cheated the PAD system.:rotfl:0 -

Hi Euro,
Yeah it sounds like you where somehow in a parrelell universe, i also insisted to my other half that i drove everywhere inbetween lessons and didnt really have a life for 2 months as i was either working or driving!!!
1 hour def is not enough you need 2 hours min, your only just getting into your driving after a hour, i would also suggest saving up as i paid for my lessons before my LBM well the majority of them anyhow on the trusty old barclaycard, but after having my LBM and discovering this thread i managed to pay the last £200 from my own newly PAD infested pocket!!:rotfl:0 -

Some people do some don't its up to you - personally I don't so I know that this is really extra money that I have found and wouldn't have gone on debts otherwise.

Oohhhh just found out that I am most likely eligible for the 30% tax ruling here in NL. This would mean tht 30% of my income is tax free!
I have to apply and fill in a rainforest worth of paperwork, I expect. But would be so worth it! Especially if they backdated it!February wins: Theatre tickets0 -

I checked quickly, they won't backdate. If I had applied within the first 4 months, then they would have. Alas, I have been here for 6 months now. Bummer!February wins: Theatre tickets0

I'd like to join please!
Would a jar collecting what i can spare at the end of each day and paying off at the end of the month to creditors be ok?
Will start today if so!
Thanks
