Our telly's just blown up!
I started to smell a weird burning / chemical smell and thought I'd either left the gas on, or it was DH oiling his bike - then it went off!
It was what I call a "normal" telly - not widescreen. In fact the kids keep asking if we can move to another house that has a bigger telly!:rotfl:
So now we've got the tiny portable in the living room - they're gutted!
I know the feeling - my old TV was having sound issues so my parents gave me their old "normal" tv had it 3 months when - hmm whats that smell? Ekkk sparks!!!! and weird and disturbing clicking noises. resigned myself to buying a new tv
Then I went home to visit parents before my birthday and my lovely brother gave me his old - and very very nice wide screen normal tv PLUS surround sound stuff as a Bday gift - (he had just bought a HUGH flat screen) Watching it now. Fab Bday pressie.
The Kids will survive - consider it a life lesson. Currently hooked on "young dumb and living with Mum" on BBC - catch up in i-player - those kids are clueless and its sooooo the parents fault - as most have now realised :rotfl:Car crash tv at its best.
Anyhoo I digress (sp?) - £1 to evil monument please.0 -
